The List
“The List” is a short film based on the true story of a young girl from Artsakh during the 2020 war. Set in a bomb shelter during her birthday, the film explores themes of childhood, resilience, and conflict. The film has been recognized at multiple international festivals, and has 6 festival awards and has been screened more then 10countries across Central Asia and Europe.
Visual World
The visual world of The List is built around contrast such as the magic of childhood against the confined and tense environment of a bomb shelter. Cinematography relies on controlled framing and intimate close-ups to highlight moments and stillness, soft, low-key lighting gives the sense of isolation and stillness. The camera remains observant allowing performances to carry the narrative weight.
